MISSION STATEMENT: Building partnerships with people and communities to promote safer, healthier tomorrows.

CNCS's Family Outreach Department offers a variety of programs that promote the strengths in families by providing the following; assistance to families in crisis; linkage to resources; advocacy for services; financial counseling; and attainment of goals. Family Outreach Coordinators are also available to give community presentations to inform individuals and groups on the following emergency issues and trends such as: CNCS Programs; local, state, and federal resources; community needs; and consumer counseling services.

Hope Offers People Empowerment (H.O.P.E.)

HOPE is a program where a Family Outreach Coordinator (FOC) works one on one with the individual to find resources, overcome obstacles for change and coordinates service delivery. There is no charge for participating in the program. All we ask is that you and/or your family make a commitment to change.

Emergency Assistance

Funds are available to provide financial assistance (i.e., utility payments, rent payments, etc.) to homeless or near homeless persons who have a verifiable economic or personal crisis.

Supportive Housing Project (SHP)

The Supportive Housing Project is designed to provide intensive case management support services for people who are homeless in the Hall County area. The purpose of the program is to assist homeless people to secure permanent housing and become self-sufficient.

Project Thrives (Transitional Housing for Rural Independence, Viability and Economic Stability)

The 3 year transitional housing program will assist homeless individuals and families to obtain safe and suitable transitional housing. While in the program for up to 24 months; those served will participate in intensive case management to enhance their skills for self-sufficiency and secure and maintain permanent housing. Homeownership opportunities are a part of permanent housing.

Food Pantry

Donated food, household and personal items are available for low income families on an emergency basis.
